We took a week to reflect last week, as we considered the protests happening in America and across the world after the murder of George Floyd. We’ve restarted our programmes this week and we hope it’s one you’ll like!
Ever seen yourself as an entrepreneur? Well, working with us at Nottingham Castle, you could be seeing your idea flying off the shelves!! Inspired by Nottingham’s famous outlaw, we want you to design us products to sell in the gift shop at the Castle when it reopens.
What we’d love you to do is to create us a prototype of what your product could be – this might be a drawing, a model or you recording yourself describing what your product could be. Do we need to be selling Robin Hood tights? Or plantable “Sherwood Oak” key rings? Your ideas might just be ones we develop into full products! We’ll also invite you into these design meetings to see your final product take shape and have your name on the packaging!
Finally, as an extra nod to Robin’s belief of helping those in need, any profits from these products will be reinvested into learning and access schemes to support everyone in Nottingham be able to visit and enjoy their castle!
So, what are you waiting for? Get those thinking caps on to dream up your Robin Hood rebellious retail idea!
When you’ve finished your retail idea, get someone to share your finished product with us on social media using the hashtag #NottmHeritageHunters or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
There will be an extra special prize for the best one and their family once the Castle reopens too!
